Roma Tomatoes are a little easier; prices have leveled off; we expect prices to rise by the end of the week. Grape Tomatoes are getting easier; prices are off. Cherry Tomato prices are unchanged. Cluster Tomato prices have perked up; prices are high....

Lettuce Report: Early morning frost is causing delays in harvest; Iceberg and leaf markets are gaining steam; prices are up; Spinach is also short; prices are up; Mescaline salad continues to have better quality and supply problems; prices are unchanged....


Berry News: Strawberries will be impacted by this weekend’s rainfall; growers are accessing damages and we will not have the full picture until the storms subside; prices will remain high. Raspberries remain short and high priced; Blueberries and Blackberries are being grown off shore and are not impacted by the rains; prices and quality are very attractive…

Fruit Report: Apples and Pears: Supply is good and quality is at its peak. Avocados: We are using California size 36, 24, 40, and 48 count; we are using Mexican 60 counts. Citrus: Texas Grapefruit and Valencia orange quality remains excellent; Lemon prices remain strong; Limes are high priced and getting higher; California Navel oranges are very good; prices are low. Grapes: Chilean Green and Red Grapes are short until the boat unloads Tuesday; prices remain high; California grapes are finished for the season. Offshore Cantaloupes are short; pricing are up; Honeydew prices are on their way up; quality and sugar are very good. South American pineapple prices are up; Maui pineapples are being offered; we are bringing some in....

Vegetable Report: Artichokes: No change; frost damage is evident; supplies are short; prices are high. Asparagus: Prices are beginning to fall. Blue Lake Beans: Mexican bean quality is being affected by the rain; prices are edging up. Broccoli: Supply is very light; prices are up. Cauliflower: The market remains short; prices are high. Celery: Prices are up. Cabbage: Green cabbage is short; prices are up again. Carrots: Cold ground temperatures is causing smaller sizing; prices are up again. Cucumbers: Prices are higher due to the weather and transition; Hothouse cucumbers are unchanged; quality is fair. Eggplant: Globe prices are up; Japanese eggplant are still poor quality; Italian and Chinese eggplant are transitioning to Mexico; prices are up. Onions: Brown, red, and white onions prices are low. Peppers: Green, Red, and Gold bells are all up moderately in price. Zucchini: Prices are out of control; supplies are short due to rainy fields in Mexico and frozen fields in Florida. Gold Zucchini is very short; prices remain high. Straightneck supplies are more plentiful; prices are off...
