 Tomato
Report: Due to the harvest beginning in Mexico prices are starting to come down on tomatoes. Prices are trending downward or round tomatoes, Romas, grape and cherry varieties, as well as, quality improving too. |

 Lettuce
Report: Improved weather conditions have provided some relief to the ongoing shortages we have seen in iceberg, romaine, and green leaf. Supplies are expected to improve through the remainder of the month. Unfortunately, pricing is still high on Romaine Hearts.

 Berry
News: Limited availability will continue through early next week for strawberries both Flo5rida and Mexico. Blackberries from Mexico are in adequate supply, while raspberry availability is limited. Blueberries are in tight supply with the first arrivals from Chile expected this weekend. |
 Fruit
Report: California-Arizona grapefruit is in tight supply; however we have plenty of variety citrus items, including Satsuma mandarins, Fairchild tangerines, pummelos, blood oranges, Oro Blancos, Clementine mandarins, and Minneola tangelos. Availability has tightened from pineapple from Central America during the holiday shipping period. Cantaloupe melon supplies are good and coming out of Central America. Watermelon prices are firm for moderate production in Southern Mexico. Good availability for Bartlett, Bosc and D’Anjou pears. California kiwi is in good supply. |
 Vegetable
Report: Asparagus is in good supply with imported product from Peru and Mexico. Green onions from Mexico are in adequate supply. Bok choy and napa are in tight supply. Spring mix, baby spinach and arugula are in good supply. Cucumber prices are firm for product being shipped from Florida and Nogales. Green bell peppers are in oversupply. Red and yellow bell peppers are in extremely limited supply. Supplies are adequate for zucchini and yellow squash.
Demand is light for onions. Recent rainfall in Southern California has caused a shortfall in supplyfor cilantro and parsley (curly & Italian). |
