 Tomato
Report: Round and Roma tomatoes continue to be in plentiful supply in Nogales and prices remain on the bottom. The market is steady in Florida for round tomatoes and Romas. Supplies have increased for grape tomatoes and prices have eased for cherry tomatoes. |
 Lettuce
Report: With cool weather having returned to the desert growing areas, production has slowed for iceberg, romaine and leaf. The market for iceberg is on the rise, while prices for romaine and leaf have moved higher from recent bottom levels. Availability for Iceberg and Leaf lettuce will be tight in supply.

 Berry
News: Due to the cold weather and rain, Strawberry production is still an issue. Production for Blueberries out of Chile is starting to decline. Raspberries are in tight supply, with Oxnard out of production due to weather conditions. Blackberries from Mexico will be in short supply through early March. |
 Fruit
Report: Apples are in good supply, especially on Braeburn, Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, and Red Delicious. Bosc and D’Anjou Pears are in good supply. Cantaloupe and Honeydew supplies are starting to return to normal. Production is gradually increasing for watermelons from Mexico. Prices have begun to ease slightly; however, we do not expect to see any significant reduction in the market for at least another week, when watermelon supplies from Guatemala and Honduras will increase. Supplies are good with oranges and grapefruit in Texas. Mexican limes are in good supply, available for shipment from Texas. The crop is heavy to 150s & 175s…limited supplies on smaller sizes; quality is very good. Pineapples are in good supply. |
 Vegetable
Report: Bok Choy, Napa, Cilantro, Leek, Parsley and Snow Peas are all in good supply. Tight availability on kale and bunched spinach. Spring mix, arrugula and baby spinach are in good supply. Quality is excellent. Broccoli and Broccoli Crowns are in good supply and coming out of Mexico. Cauliflower is starting to rise in price due to cold weather conditions. Celery is starting to rise in price. Carrots are in good supply in Mexico and California. Very light demand continues to overhang the potato market; prices have eased slightly for the carton packed Idaho Russets. Cool weather conditions have slowed the production of Asparagus in Mexico. The market has firmed for red bell peppers in Nogales, as well as, yellow bell peppers. Cucumber prices are starting to rise due to cold weather conditions.
